此作品緣自北部的火化習俗，在早期，親屬總是會訂購靈紙供品給往生者，並且挑個吉日火化，因而拉長葬禮的日期，此時那些尚待火化或是等待銷售卻又售不出的「紙花、紙馬、紙厝、紙偶又或金童玉女」，便套著”保鮮”的塑膠袋，簡略吊掛於家中，與日俱增，其景群聚，如同窩在糊紙店的蝙蝠，與人共存倒吊在這個蝙蝠洞中。

《Feeling inferior Bat》–No. 3

This work originated from the custom of cremation in the north of Taiwan. In the old days, relatives always offered paper puppets to the deceased, and chose a good day for cremation, thus they might need to postpone the funeral until it’s considered a“good day”. Therefore, those sold puppets waiting to be cremated were often hang briefly in the store together with those unsold- paper flowers, paper horses, paper houses or paper servants covered with plastic bags. Day by day, the number of puppets increased and those paper puppets in the shop were clustered as if bats nesting in the cave with people living together.
