「圓仔花不知醜,大紅花醜不知」,把它當成沒有自知之明的代表,看不起這種花。但圓仔花雖醜,不過它卻開了滿山滿野,十分具有勇氣不是嗎?「不知醜」反而是有自信的表現,特別強調原先別人看不起的特質,充滿自我肯定、顛覆污名認同。因此,我們企圖以圓仔花所代表的草根性,顛覆新媒體藝術在大眾心中的認知。除了利用CAMARA偵測觀者的動作撥放動畫外,更配合這幅畫的題詞「圓仔花如燈」在畫中加入了不可見光LED燈,更配合這幅畫的題詞「圓仔花如燈」在畫中加入了不可見光LED燈,達到畫中有畫、虛;藉由觀者和畫產生互動連結,給觀者一個充滿樂趣的賞畫經驗!
“Plain look, fancy red Globe Amaranth has little appeal,” Amaranth is often referred to lacking of self-awareness. Unloved though, the flowers spread over hills and fields, courageous to some extent. Somehow, unconscious of one’s outlook reveal the self-confidence in accepting and recognizing what others disdain.
Thus, we take the grass-roots characteristics of Globe Amaranth and applied with new exhibition technique, as a challenge against common notion. In addition to using Camera to observe the audience for adjusting the display, light in-penetrative LED lamp is also incorporated in the piece entitled “Globe Amaranth as a lantern.” To view this work, it creates an impression of painting within painting, illusion and reality in one. The interaction of the audience and the work provides an interesting experience of perception.
