動能裝置

[un]Stuck是一個改裝現成的跳字時鐘再重新設計組成的動能裝置，主要的組成部分包含時鐘和自動切換字樣的板子。文字分別散布時鐘裡的每一塊板子上，隨著時間不規則地變換，但是不斷地運轉、停止、前進和卡住。在不同的速度移動，板子上的內文不斷地創造、重新排列，而產生新的義涵。藉由動能創造的詩，此裝置能試圖實現我們一種「時間意識」的經驗。這是企圖再現和強化我們的時間知覺，作為一個在連續不斷的時間的片刻之中的相互關係，然而逃離我們既有的感知能力，建構他的意義。這種不和諧的樂音是由過去消失或出現的記憶、未來被預期發生和現在不曾間斷的演變所組成。我們在永不停止的混沌中苦尋秩序、方法和掌控它。

Kinetic wall installation

[un]Stuck is a kinetic installation consisting of a re-engineered split-flap clock. Words are scattered across the different flaps of the clock, all moving irregularly across time, but continuously running and stopping and advancing and getting stuck. Moving at different speeds, the texts on the flaps keep creating and rearranging connections, mutating meanings. Through this kinetic generative poem, the installation creates an experience of our time-consciousness. It is an attempt to recreate and enhance our perception of time, highlighting the continuous interrelation among moments in time, yet challenging our capability to make sense of it. It is a cacophonic symphony made of past memories appearing and disappearing, anticipation what is yet to happen, and the unstoppable unfolding of the present. It is a never-ending chaos we struggle to find order in, to measure and control.
