羅海德
羅海德是一名以香港為創作和學術基地的數位藝術家和理論家。他的作品《Res Extensa》獲得2003年度「香港藝術雙年展」最佳數碼作品獎項。他設計的遊戲系統《CoPerspective》於2006年度維也納Eurographics會議Games Meets Graphics比賽中入選決賽。他所撰寫關於電影理論、數碼藝術和遊戲硏究的文章曾於〈Screen〉、〈Cinema Journal〉及〈GameStudies〉中刊載。羅海德參與過多個大型藝術與科技會議,亦曾擔任香港微波國際新媒體藝術節藝術總監。他現為香港城市大學創意媒體學院副教授,主理當代視覺藝術、遊戲研究、電影理論、電腦程式設計和批判理論等學科;剛開創了亞洲區首個新媒體文理學士課程,將於2012年9月開課,為該課程的候任主任。
Hector Rodriguez
Hector Rodriguez is a Hongkong-based digital artist and theorist. His animation Res Extensa received the “Best Digital Work” award in the Hong Kong Art Biennial 2003 and has been shown in India, China, Germany, Spain and Kaohsiung. His essays about film theory/history and digital art have been published in Screen, Cinema Journal and Game Studies, and he has participated in various art and technology conferences. He was Artistic Director of the Microwave International Media Art Festival, where he has also taught workshops on Java programming and organized an exhibition on art and games. He is currently Associate Professor at the City University of Hong Kong's School of Creative Media, where he just founded the region's first Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in New Media, to seek integration between the arts and technology. At the School, he teaches Visual Studies, Contemporary Art, Game & Play Studies, Film Theory, Computation, and Critical Theory. He is also a member of the new media group the Writing Machine Collective in Hong Kong.
